Day 02 :
Visit Tea Plantation and Factory - Transfer to Nuwara Eliya

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Famed for its stunning collection of over 4,000 species of plants, including vibrant orchids, towering palm trees, and medicinal herbs, the gardens offer a peaceful escape filled with color and fragrance. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing stroll amidst beautifully landscaped grounds.

Next, set off on a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as "Little England" due to its cool climate, colonial architecture, and lush greenery.

After breakfast at your hotel, begin your journey from the cool highlands of Nuwara Eliya to the sun-kissed beaches of Bentota, located along Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of misty mountains gradually giving way to lush lowlands and tropical greenery.

Make a stop at Kitulgala, a small town nestled in the rainforest and known for its adventure activities and natural beauty. Here, visit the Belilena Cave, a significant prehistoric site believed to have been inhabited by early humans over 30,000 years ago. A short hike through the forest leads you to the cave, offering a mix of history and nature in one memorable stop.

Next, visit the famous filming location of the iconic World War II movie “The Bridge on the River Kwai.” Although the actual bridge no longer stands, the spot remains a fascinating piece of cinematic and local history, surrounded by beautiful riverside scenery.

Continue your drive to Bentota, a charming coastal town known for its golden beaches, palm-fringed shores, and laid-back atmosphere. On arrival, check in to your beachside hotel and take the rest of the evening to relax, unwind, and soak in the tropical vibes.
